I like double first names for girls, well some, that is. A person that can legally change their name wants to be known as [name_f]kate[/name_f]. Does it make sense to use the nickname kit for catherine or does it only make sense to spell it katherine? Not sure if it’s weird to spell it catherine instead of katherine if using the nickname kit.
Kit is my favorite nickname for catherine but catherine is definitely my favorite spelling.
I am expecting twin girls and we have one name picked out: We will call her [name]katie [/name]. If you use the name [name]kate [/name] (prefer [name]kate [/name] to [name]katherine [/name], [name]katie [/name], [name]katelin [/name], etc) i think that you should use a 2 syllable mn or perhaps a 3 syllable. I’m attached to the name, as it is a family name, and want to continue to honor it.
